When we first got here I noticed the cactus had flower buds but they weren’t flowering yet. We hoped that they would flower while we were still here and the other night I spotted this one off of the dirt road to our campsite.
Do spring flowers inspires spring cleaning? I guess so, because we completely washed our interior walls for the first time ever on our Airstream.
For those who don’t know, our walls are just like the outside of the trailer, shiny aluminum. We’ve wiped down spots with a little bit of water and a microfiber towel, but have never tackled the entire interior.
We used Meguiar’s “Deep Crystal” Car Wash mixed in a bucket of water. We worked out a system where I would soak our microfiber mit in the water, wring it out and wipe down a section. Brian would follow me with a chamois cloth and wipe the wall dry.
The result is incredible. We were so used to the layer of dust from the desert and film from cooking we forgot how really shiny our inside walls are. The result is awesome and it really wasn’t too terrible a chore.
