I first read about camping at Alpena County Fairgrounds on the Technomadia blog. In addition to a central location, I was drawn to the 18 mile bike trail that passes through the campground. (You can see it on the right side of the photo below).
The campground is relatively quiet and everyone camping here has kept to themselves.
We’re both really itching for some city time, so I adjusted our itinerary to get to Detroit a little sooner than planned. One more week to go!
Dinner Last Night:
For the past couple weeks I’ve been trying this “cure” for Restless Legs Syndrome and part of it includes going gluten free. When I read the author’s diary, I noticed there wasn’t any mention of gluten, so I emailed him and asked him at what point did he give it up. He admitted that his RLS was cured before he went gluten free, so that night I had pizza. There has been some improvement since I started the RLCure, but I’m still really uncomfortable overnight and wake up from painful leg spasms every couple of hours. I’m really hoping my upcoming ergonomic office makeover is the solution.
My favorite recipe this week was a Green Curry with Spring Vegetables. Delicious.
