We met Bob and Mary Lou at Alumafiesta when we were running around taking photos of Airstreamers. On the last night of Alumafiesta, they found out that we were going to be camping in Buckeye, their home town, so they invited us for dinner. We were extra excited about this invitation, because they extended it to us right after Bob won the Aluminum Chef award for the Rally.
Last night we visited with Bob and Mary Lou in their home along with Misty & Dice. It was our first time in an actual house in about 6 weeks! We talked about everything from family and the dogs, to Buckeye and Airstreaming. They served an amazing Moroccan stew, salad and homemade corn bread.
After dinner we filled up our fresh water jugs and gave them our recycling. What great hosts!
Avocado-Spinach Panini. I had to share this sandwich because it was so good. We didn’t do it panini style but we did have heated up panini-like bread. The sun-dried tomatoes made the sandwich. I didn’t use the oily ones in a jar, I got them fresh in the produce section at whole foods. So good.
