We met Bruce on Lummi Island in 2010. This week he passed away from lung cancer. Bruce had an awesome Maine accent and was really so much fun to be around. The last time we saw him was shortly after his diagnosis this past August. I took this picture the summer before. I just don’t even know what to write. We will really miss him.

That is a total bummer.
I had heard he was sick some time ago, but never any followup. Bein’ a Maine fella myself, it was always fun to speak Mainese with him (it’s soht of a drawl, and of coss it’s an alphabet without any “ah’s” (r’s). Also of course he was a major player in the Washington wine world. A really good guy gone way too soon…:(
