Yesterday was a perfect day off. No chores, just relaxing and touristy activities. In the morning we went for a “swim” at Long Park (pictured above). The water was freezing, but we did manage to get in up to our necks and tread water for a few seconds.
After lunch we went to a few wineries. First up was Tildio, which we hit like a couple professionals. We shared our tasting and went through the flight rather quickly. We left with the Ideale which is 70% Viognier and 30% Chardonnay.
Next up was Hard Row to Hoe whose history has something to do with a row boat taxi service on Lake Chelan bringing miners to a brothel. Pictured above is their wallpaper. We bought their Primitivo.
Our last stop was Benson Vineyards, where the tastings are free and they have little tasting crackers (score!). They had a huge selection, which made picking just one a challenge. We ended up buying their cabernet sauvignon.
