Farm to Trailer

Shortly after we arrived at Dave & Ann’s, Dave asked if we had any projects on the Airstream that needed working on. We didn’t have anything major, but we have been wanting to figure out a flag pole mount and find a way to diffuse our led lights.

Dave jumped on it and brought us to the hardware store, where we bought a bunch of things in hopes of cobbling together some solutions.

He cut down few different materials to try diffusing the led’s (they currently cast some 70′s-looking stripes on the interior aluminum), but so far we haven’t found the perfect solution.

The flag pole mount, however, was a big success. Dave cut and sanded the pvc, then drilled out a hole through both the pvc and the 20 foot telescoping paint pole so it wouldn’t turn in the wind. That’s just a bandana flying for now, we’ve got a custom flag on order.

Which brings me to how Brian ended up with Petunia in his lap. It turns out the Advodna’s were buttering us up all week, providing us with a comfortable place to camp, letting us do laundry, working on our projects, when Dave pops the question. “Will you help me cut Petunia’s nails?”

We would have helped out regardless and we’re in love with that pig. In spite of her sedatives she did make quite a noise. (See the video on Instagram.) She quickly forgave us and this morning she waddled over to the trailer looking for a handout.
