Yesterday we moved from Red Rock on the west side of Las Vegas to Lake Mead on the east side. In addition to it having a phenomenal view, it’s free and we also have cell service (Red Rock didn’t have any).
It was a little hairy getting to this spot. We got stuck twice (yes we need 4WD) and had to navigate the trailer over some pretty bumpy terrain.
The guy in the tent just left this morning so now our view is completely unobstructed. Check out the panorama to facebook.
Dinner Last Night:
Quinoa Taco Salad. We’ve had this salad at least four or five times. I didn’t have corn on hand, but that’s ok since it’s #1 on the top 10 GMO foods to avoid.
2013 Cost of Camping:
14 nights paid camping
34 nights free camping
Total spent on camping this year: $407.75
Daily average cost of camping: $8.49

One one of my favorite places! Wish we were there with you
Us too. You could even be in your old spot! We’re in the spot where the other Airstream was when you were here.
Can you tell me if there is a Verizon 3G signal there? I’ve been meaning to stop in there myself, but my need for Internet has kept me away so far.
Hey V-T, We get 5 bars of 3G Verizon, though the speed can be inconsistent. We’re primarily using A&T here.
