Sunday in Charleston

Since we work during the week and drive to our next location on Saturdays, Sunday is our only day to do touristy stuff.

So last Sunday I googled 24 hours in Charleston which led me to the New York Times 36 Hours in Charleston article.

I found the bike tour interesting, and looked up all of the streets mentioned in the article. It didn’t really make sense to rent a bike for what looked to be a 35 minute walk around the neighborhoods.

We started at Tradd St & Legare St and headed down to White Point Garden. We saw a lot of walking tours, and were happy that we figured out where to go without a guide.

I really loved all of the window boxes, while this is probably more of a fence box, I still thought it was pretty.

Oh, and while we were in Charleston, we stayed at Oak Plantation Campground.

Just returned from 48 hours in Charleston, the tail end of our spring break with our family of six (we have a Flying Cloud). We stayed at James Island County Park and it was great! Nice to know there is another campground to try. We want to go back and do a proper trip and spend time at Folly Beach!
