North Rim Grand Canyon Boondocking

On Saturday, we drove to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon where we turned off on Forest Service Road 611 and dropped off the trailer in the spot pictured above to scout for something better! Normally, I would think this a very acceptable spot, but we had hopes of finding something on the rim with a view of the Grand Canyon.

Our first night we stayed in this spectacular spot. The only downside, is that we were sharing it with another rig. The next day we moved to a neighboring spot that we could have all to ourselves. I still need to take photos there.

Without any cell service, we had to bring out the 2-player board games.

Looks like it quit raining after we left! Great spot you found. How was the road getting there?

The forest service roads are really good here. You wouldn’t have a problem getting in and out of our spot.

Did you keep track of fuel costs?

Hi Dan, we do, however Brian drives hundreds of miles Monday through Friday scouting campgrounds so our miles don’t reflect a typical RVer’s.
