A Rebuilt Engine and Cracker Barrel Camping

I’m happy to report that last week was a lot less exciting than the week prior. We managed to get the very last spot at Twelve Oaks RV Resort in Sanford Florida while we waited for our truck to be repaired.

The high pressure fuel pump failed, and apparently shards of metal went all over the place, so they basically had to replace the entire fuel system. We were a little concerned when we picked up the truck this past Friday, because the next day, we were driving four and a half hours north to Savannah.

The truck held up for the drive and we ended up staying the night at our very first Cracker Barrel where we enjoyed a game of checkers in front of their Old Country Store.

Cracker Barrels are our favorite overnight for serial big driving days. Often quiet, sometimes no other overnighters, and the food is much better than Wal-Mart’s. Glad your truck is okay – hope it stays so.
