February 26, 2013  |  curtis

I made the old guy pose for me this morning so I could give you an update on how he’s doing.

Curtis seems to have arthritis in his back legs. Some days are worse than others. We started him on PhyCox which he likes eating and I like to tell myself I’m seeing improvement though it’s been less than a week.

Curtie’s spirits are good. He loves boondocking. He doesn’t ever want to go back to an RV park where he has to be on a leash.

2013 Cost of Camping:
14 nights paid camping
42 nights free camping
Total spent on camping this year: $407.75
Daily average cost of camping: $7.28

  1. Oh Sweet Curtis…..here’s wishing you some easy days, fresh breezes, leash-free stays, and never ending belly rubs!

  2. I hope the meds will help him. Our senior cat and dog both have arthritis too. Curtis looks like such a wise ole soul in this pic. Hugs Curtie!

  3. What a sweetheart. I love that picture. Nothing is more beautiful to me than an older, well loved dog. When our sweet Buddy began having joint pains his doctor put him on Tramadol. It seemed to help ease the pain on “those” days.

  4. Great pic of the ever stoic Curtis…you can almost read his thoughts…”OK Mom, I’ll pose if I have to, but don’t take too long!” Hugs to you all.

  5. That’s a great pic of Curtis! I’m glad to hear that the medicine seems to be helping him. Lucky dog, boondocking looks good on him :) Can’t wait to see you guys soon … let’s start looking at dates!

  6. Oh Cutis! He’s so cute the way he poses sweetly for you. It’s tough getting old, but he’s lucky to have such nice humans that care for him :)

  7. The Curtis is a looker…what a guy…how about Pro Motion….our dog friend, 12 yrs. old, Buddy, lives on his sailboat with his people….Pro Motion has helped him tremendously….love that boy!!
