Our friends Mark and Marlene flew down on Sunday from Lummi Island for the arrival of their new granddaughter. We met up with them at Stone Brewery in Escondido for dinner.
We’ve been hearing about Stone for awhile. Brian has a friend who was a brew master there, the gang pictured above always raves about it, and even a girl I work with asked me if we’ve been since we’re in the area.
I had the scallops with white truffle pommes purée with a mushroom cabernet demi-glace and a glass of the Justin Cabernet, Brian had the almond crusted tilapia and tried a few beers. The food was delicious and it was great to see the gang.
