Templeton Wine

November 2, 2012  |  wine

Clotilde from Olea Farm called over to Victor Hugo Winery and got them to open up their doors for us. We had a very enjoyable visit with Victor’s wife Leslie. There were some awards hanging around the neck of some bottles and I asked if that’s what we were tasting, and she admitted that some of the awards actually didn’t go with the bottles they were hanging from, she said they put them out because their Chinese importers are impressed by medals!

After Victor Hugo, we stopped by Hansen. We went there 6 years ago and heard they were better than ever. The wine was good, but I actually remember it being better in 2006, or maybe just their prices were better.
