Juliana and Steve live across the street from where we’ve been staying all week. While walking Curtis, we couldn’t help but notice their 1952 Cruisette Airstream and got them to give us the grand tour.

tell us the story of this one….are there more than two photos? Juliana and Steve look like great neighbors….
I am with Terrie. Would love to see more photos of thst 1952 Airstream. Awesome!
Unfortunately the light was pretty bright, so I didn’t take a lot!
I recognize this Airstream! It’s ‘MiMi’! My wife and I purchased her a few years back and undertook the long process of restoration. She still looks fabulous.
Hey Jim,
Do you have your former Cruisette pictures online anywhere? I would love to see the before and afters!
Cheers
I am also restoring a Cruisette right now. I would LOVE to see before and after pictures of Mimi if either the previous or current owners have pictures online.
Jim, Can you tell me how you stripped the interior panels? My paint/zolatone/paint is seeming BAKED on. It is chopped and a disaster so it has to come off at least to prep and paint. I would love a shiny aluminum interior.
Thanks!!!
I still have several photos of her (before, during, and after restoration).
That’s awesome!! Are you still restoring trailers?
Not unless we stumble into one. Now we’re working on old houses. But Mimi was a labor of love.
Hi Leigh,
It’s Steve & Juliana with the Cruisette. I didn’t realize Jim had before pictures, I would love to have them. We didn’t think to ask him when we bought it and we don’t have his contact info.
Could you let him know we are interested?
P.S. We still have Mimi and are gearing up for a lot of summer Oregon outings!
Thanks, Steve & Juliana
I’ll try to get photos posted.
