The max stay at Government Wash is 15 days and we definitely pushed our luck this past month. A friend of ours asked a ranger about stay limits and he said if we don’t bother them, they won’t bother us, but it’s not a place we can make a forever home.
We didn’t actually stay the entire month. We put the trailer in storage for a few days while we celebrated my birthday on the Strip. The only photo I took was this shot of bubbles coming out of the toilet in our room.
Early in our stay, we went for a hike at White Owl Canyon. It’s a hike we’ve done before, but we were happy to take a break from work and catch up with Pam and John.
We also saw Dan & Tricia, Heather & Jeff and Brian’s mom. All multiple times and no photo evidence. The good news is, we’re in the Southwest for the winter and will be seeing them all again.
At the end of our stay, we had a surprise visit from one of our favorite families. This spring will mark 5 years of hanging out with them in random places in the US and Canada.

We really enjoyed our stay last month at Lake Mead. Another great Campendium find! Sorry, we weren’t in your parts.
Sorry to miss you! There are so many great places to camp around Lake Mead, I’m glad you liked it!
