When we pulled into our new boondocking spot on Saturday, we couldn’t help but notice this 1957 Caravanner.
Steve and his cat Brissy have been full-time in it for the past 4 years.
Steve removed the zolatone paint from the interior of this airstream exposing the aluminum, and installed the beautiful wood panels pictured below.
Yesterday morning, we invited Steve over for dinner and mentioned that we were going to be having Indian food, so Steve made naan from scratch!

What a totally cool travel trailer! I love that.
Can’t believe you got Brissy to pose. Gotta be a first.
Great meeting you two. We’ll see you down the road.
Great meeting you too! We loved the naan, even though you didn’t! Safe travels and I’m sure we’ll see you down the road. 🙂
What a neat trailer! Brissy is beautiful:)
Beautiful 57. Love the windows! That cat is fairly gorgeous, too.
Not being familiar, is a Caravanner a model of Airstream? It sure is well-maintained. Wow! 1957. I like vintage stuff. Steve should be proud. I’m sure he is. I can’t really tell from the photo, but the interior ceiling wood almost looks like birds eye maple. Whatever, it looks very nice. Does Steve have a blog or website?
Hi Ed, yes it’s an Airstream! Steve does not currently blog, but he did at one point: http://57caravanner.blogspot.com
