We’re lucky that Curtis is allowed to join us in the waiting room while the Airstream gets serviced.
People who use their trailers a couple times a month probably don’t have so many things to check or fix at their 1 year service appointment. Our list includes:
-
annual service
not sure what’s involved but happy to get it. – 3 page inspection checklist
-
inspect check valve
our fresh water tank filled up when we were on city water twice in a row, and has been fine ever since – water pump replaced
-
cabinets over dinette damaged
screws coming through cabinet from our last service – added counter sunk screws and screw covers
-
missing rivets
in kitchen cabinets and by bed – 6 rivets replaced
-
shower door stripping
is coming loose – shower door sweep replaced
-
inspect backing plate assembly & hub drum assembly
that was replaced on front right tire by non-airstream dealer
-
power cable from trailer to truck
is starting to come apart – 12V cord end replaced
-
flickering LED in bathroom
taking advantage of that warranty! bulb replaced
-
inspect sway hitch
one side seems loose – tightened
-
wash trailer
they always wash it, I just have to ask
By the way, I actually set the timer on the camera to get this “candid”.
