Astoria, OR

On Saturday we made a 1 night stop in Astoria to see our friends Nina and Paul who have been camping at Cape Disappointment for the past month.

There weren’t any spots available at their campground, so we stayed at nearby Fort Stevens State Park. The park was really busy, so we were happy that we had plans in town.

We drove into Astoria a little early so we could walk around. I couldn’t help but notice that there seems to be a knit cozy on everything.

We met up with Nina, Paul, and Paul’s Niece Alex at North Coast Distillery where we tasted some booze (or in my case, touched it to the tip of my tongue).

From the distillery we decided to check out the Goonies house (pictured at the top of the post). Astoria has always been on our list of places to visit, one reason being that the movie Goonies was shot here.

From the Goonies house we went for dinner at Buoy Beer Co where we had a great dinner that included asking Alex a lot of questions about life as a 17 year old in Fort Lauderdale. Her primary apps are: Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter.
