Beach Combing

After dinner we walked down to the beach for a little exercise and beach combing.

We saw a bunch of interesting things on the beach, in particular these little jellies (top left).

Brian thought they were the velella vellella that he read about on Jim & Gayle’s blog, but they don’t have a cellophane feel, they’re really jelly-like and once you wipe off the sand, they’re totally clear. Does anyone know what they are?

Dinner Last Night:
Broccoli Salad with Tahini Dressing. Brian thought this was “(expletive) great!”

2015 Cost of Camping:
117 night paid camping
155 nights free camping
272 days this year
Total spent: $2266.99

Interesting that you could pick up the jellyfish. I guess I figured they would be soft and floppy. No clue!

But the salad sound awesome. It must be the tahini:)

Looks like you found a great spot and some moon jellies. We used to have fights using those as the weapon — when the hatch there are millions and millions of them in the water.
