Bye Bye Bishop

Pictured above is our last night with the gang in Bishop. Today after work we’re moving on because this campground closes for the season tomorrow at 10am and we can’t move during the work day.

Yesterday we met the gang for lunch at the Bishop Burger Barn. For those who read the Mali Mish blog, you might understand that I always figured when we finally met them it would include a burger.

Dinner Last Night:
Thai Coconut & Peanut Butter Curry. This was awesome. My new favorite soup. The only thing I did differently was cut the brown sugar in half. So so good and really easy to make.

2013 Cost of Camping:
29 nights paid camping
99 nights free camping
Total spent on camping this year: $525.75
Daily average cost of camping: $4.11

Why would a campground be closing for the season in May?

I know! That’s what we thought. It turns out this campground is open from November through May and nearby Horton Creek is open May through November. I guess they can’t have both open at the same time.
