Gunga Din

Just down the road from where we’re camping is the location for the 1938 movie “Gunga Din” with Cary Grant. I wonder if it really does look like the hill country of northern India.

Dinner Last Night:
Greek Style Quinoa Patties with Tzatziki. This was so good. Served with a salad dressed in lemon and olive oil. So so good. (Makes a lot).

2013 Cost of Camping:
21 nights paid camping
99 nights free camping
Total spent on camping this year: $508.25
Daily average cost of camping: $4.24

I just made homemade Tzatziki for the first time a few days ago. It was amazing and I was trying to think of other ways to consume it. I think these Quinoa Patties are the answer. Good recipe!

How were these when they cooled off? I need a finger food for a short hike to a waterfall with friends…a sunset dinner. I have all the ingredients for a change. But I am not sure how they would pack up and travel.

They didn’t cool off too much before getting in our bellies. They might be ok cooled off, but better hot.
