Home Turf

This was the first time we got to see Bert and Janie on their home turf. Usually we’re hanging out together in our Airstreams somewhere in the South West.

Bert was a backcountry ranger at Glacier National Park for 13 seasons and the two of them have hiked every trail there is in the park. Even though there was only time for a quick lunch, we were really happy to be able to catch up with them.

Janie taught me that the trees behind them in this photo are lodgepole pines.

Dinner Last Night:
I’m serious about getting us back on track, so last night when we arrived in Bozeman, we had Oh She Glows Fall Detox Salad. We’ve had her regular detox salad before, and this was exactly what we needed. I’m planning to use the leftovers today in sandwich wraps with hummus and tomato.
