Mesa Verde National Park

Last week we were camping about 30 minutes away from Mesa Verde National Park and because we have to work all day, we didn’t get a chance to visit it until the end of the week.

The “Spruce Tree House” was inhabited between 600 to 1300 AD and is in incredible condition.

We weren’t the only ones visiting a National Park on a holiday weekend, but it really wasn’t too bad.

Shortly after we left, the sky opened up and dumped hail on us!

Warm Lemony Potato Salad with string beans, tomatoes and avocado. So easy and good.

96 nights free camping
182 days this year
Total spent: $1593.31
Daily average cost: $8.75

Did you boondock? Did you find any nice campgrounds near the park…we are going to be there in September and beginning to look at options. Thanks again. Our weather has been crazy, and very unusual for Colorado. Glad the hail wasn’t any larger!!
