Stuck in Spearfish

We saw these beautiful hills a couple weeks ago when we were in Jackson, WY. Normally I don’t go back in the photo archives for posts, but yesterday we spent most of our day behind our computers.

The tires Brian ordered were supposed to be delivered to Walmart yesterday. He called in the morning and asked about them, and the kid on the phone said the truck normally comes between 1 and 2. Around 1:30 we drive over because no one is answering the phone, and learn that the truck only comes on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. So that keeps us here paying for camping yet another day.

At least we were able to confirm that the tires we ordered ARE on the truck, so hopefully things go well today and we can start heading south tonight after work.

Dinner Last Night:
Grilled Portobello Mushroom Tacos with Mango Black Bean Salsa. This was awesome. I kept the black beans out of the salsa and served them as a separate side along with some avocado and vegan sour cream.

2013 Cost of Camping:
96 nights paid camping
171 nights free camping
267 days this year
Total spent on camping this year: $2,659.12
Daily average cost of camping: $9.96
