I haven’t posted in awhile because we’ve been in an AirBnb in Chicago for the past 6 weeks. I’m working on a pretty intense project for my job, and they felt it was necessary for me to show up in person for a couple months. So here we are.
Pictured is the view from our first place. Oddly, the lease on our unit expired during our stay, so our hosts moved us up 15 floors to a slightly bigger unit.
Pictured above is my current work view. While it’s not my ideal setting, I’ve really enjoyed bonding with some of my co-workers and getting to know people I don’t normally talk to in my everyday work life.
Since we seem to work ALL THE TIME, it was really nice to have our friend Ryan come for a visit last weekend. Pictured above is the mirrored maze at the Museum of Science and Industry.
We also went on the Architecture Boat Tour. Normally, Brian and I don’t enjoy tours, but this one was really great and I now look at the city a little differently. Check out the freakishly narrow base of the building on the right in the picture above!
We can’t wait to move back into the trailer in two weeks, but in the meantime, we’re celebrating Brian’s birthday today with a night on the town.
