Camping in Prescott National Forest

This week we’ve been camping for free on Senator Highway in Prescott, AZ.

Before we got here I found a great dispersed camping map (PDF) on the National Forest website, but it still took a lot of time to figure out where everything is actually located.

Brian visited and added all of the campsites from the PDF in Prescott National Forest to Campendium and will be uploading photos in the next few days. Yay!

Our campsite on Senator Highway was easy to access and had great cell service.

Dinner Last Night:
Hearty Vegan Polenta and Kale Soup With Miso and Toasted Sesame Oil. I love polenta, but it’s kind of a pain to make since you have to stir it a lot while it cooks. This recipe requires a lot less stirring, was super easy and tasted great!

2015 Cost of Camping:
57 night paid camping
56 nights free camping
113 days this year
Total spent: $771
Daily average cost: $6.82
