Big Sur Campground and Cabins

Saturday we drove down the coast to Big Sur where we stayed at Big Sur Campground and Cabins. Pictured above is the cabin my parents stayed in.

[image type=”frame1″ align=”right” width=”200″][/image]The roads on the campground were a little narrow for parking a 27 foot trailer. Fortunately the staff saw we might have trouble getting in our spot from one direction and explained where we could turn around to make parking a little easier.

The first night the campground was full. Lots of tents and RV’s and kids. The second night was a lot quieter and nicer. Overall it’s a nice campground when empty, but better suited for smaller rigs.

We also discovered that Curtis LOVES basketball.

The cabin was $145/night and our spot was $52/night.

Cabin looks cool! Curtis looks good – yesterday I photographed a almost 15 year old Australian Shepherd. Have fun at work 🙂

We’d intended to stay here a few years ago with relatives that don’t have a trailer. Did you get the impression that the cabins were nice? We didn’t end up staying because we had a family illness. Thx for the blog!

Hi Lisa! My parent’s cabin was really cute. I think they were very comfortable.

Yes! We were very comfortable there. It was very clean and there was a little gas fireplace that made it toasty warm.
