Calistoga RV and Campground

We tried to book a site at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park, but our trailer is too long. Fortunately that didn’t work out because there isn’t any power there and we’re in the middle of a heat wave! I could have checked the weather and stayed on the coast, but it didn’t occur to me. Well we’re here now and we’re at the RV Park at the Napa Valley Fairgrounds in Calistoga. It’s a parking lot with trees. It’s nice enough and we’re happy to be camping next to another Airstream!

One negative thing to note about this campground is that the air conditioning trips off from time to time so we can’t leave Curtis in the trailer while the temps continue to be hot.

Calistoga, we love. The night we arrived, Brian said to me “You know how when you go somewhere and it immediately clicks with you? This is one of those places.” The downtown is adorable. There are lots of people taking walks in the neighborhoods at night. The country side is beautiful, and there are things we want to do here every night like bike trails, wineries, restaurants, movies, and mud baths!

I’ll have to look up Calistoga…I don’t think we have been there….sounds wonderful….what a variation in day and night temperatures!!! 95 and then down to 50….crazy!! The Curtis appreciates your being mindful of him in the heat!! xoxo

Hey Bert, we won’t be in Anzo until mid-January. We’ll be in the Bay area through the rest of this month and then LA and Vegas for November and December. What are your plans? (email me!)
