Calistoga RV Park

This week we’ve been staying at the campground next to the Calistoga Fairgrounds. It’s gone through a few names and is currently called Calistoga RV Park.

close-neighbors
It’s a no-frills park, that’s perfectly fine when it isn’t busy, but when you have neighbors on either side, it can feel a little cramped.

We would still pick this place over the more scenic Bothe-Napa Valley State Park because the RV park is walking distance to all of the restaurants in Calistoga.

Dinner Last Night:
For the past few nights we’ve been eating out. Last night we had a fantastic dinner at All Seasons.

I love your Blog, watch your expense for camping so pretty soon I can feel confident when I hit the road. I was wondering, my Social security check is around $1050,00 per month. Considering I have an extended van, not an RV, and plan on Boondocking whenever possible, do you guys think I can live on this amount< I worry about it alot. Thank you, Mike.

Hi Mike, it really depends on what your other expenses are. If you don’t have too many other monthly expenses and don’t go crazy at the grocery store, you could probably live off of that. 🙂

Mike, you can Google “RV Sue and her Canine Crew” as she lives off of Social Security and gives her monthly expenses for 3+ years.
