Since I tend to reserve campsites way in advance, we were able to score one of the few full-hookups for our stay this week at My Old Kentucky Home State Park in Bardstown, KY.
When we first arrived, I wondered if maybe I mis-read the campsite description. Turns out the water and power is just really far away.
Our site is pretty level compared to some. Even Brent & Christine had to go up on 5 blocks (you can see their rig if you look under the one pictured in the foreground).
Dinner Last Week:
Kale Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing & Grapes
The grapes made this salad special.
Red Lentil Kofta
We’ve had this before, it’s really tasty.
Chipotle Bean Burritos
Also a regular on our menu. Super easy, with great flavor.
Nutty Broccoli Soba
This was a new recipe for us and we really liked it. I substituted peanuts for the Brazil nuts.
Vegan Pasta E Fagioli
Easy and tasty.
2016 Cost of Camping:
23 nights free camping
125 nights paid camping (thru 5/28)
148 days this year
Total spent on camping this year: $3381.94
Daily average cost of camping: $22.85

That is a crazy campground! Who carries that length of hose and power cord! Wow! That MH home id way too high. We would have had to leave. Thanks for the week’s recipes:) I appreciate new ideas:)
What site (the more level option) were you staying in?
Hi Christy! We were in site #16. It was good for us, but wouldn’t fit a bigger rig.
