Camping in Sault Sainte Marie

We’ve spent the past 2 weeks camping at Aune-Osborn Campground in Sault Sainte Marie, MI.

We weren’t lucky enough to get a waterfront site, but we did manage to get 1 site over from the water.

The view from inside was just so-so.

For one brief afternoon, it was beautiful.

Another afternoon, the cast from Orange is the New Black stopped by.

The big attraction here is the boat watching. Many people sit outside all day watching the big boats float by while listening to the captains talk over the radio.

Dinners this week:
We had a few more oldies but goodies: Quinoa Taco Salad & Chickpea, Rice & Kale Soup.

2016 Cost of Camping:
26 nights free camping
192 nights paid camping
218 days this year thru 8/6
Total spent on camping this year: $5588.58
Daily average cost of camping: $25.64

The Orange is the New Black visitors made me smile.

I’m glad we stopped by for a quick hello especially since we won’t be crossing paths at Pictured Rocks. Sorry we were not able to make it work out. Hope to see you down the road.
