Laughlin Casino Camping

We left Flagstaff a few days early in order to avoid getting stuck in another snowfall.

Laughlin, NV was our destination. Upon arrival, we discovered our casino of choice changed hands and no longer permits camping in their parking lot. We ended up at the Golden Nugget where stayed the last two nights at zero cost.

The parking lot also doubles as a junk yard for the casino, so in addition to a couple RVs, some dumpsters and storage containers, there were some discarded letters that would be cool to salvage.

**Note: To find free casino camping on Campendium, search the city or state of your choice, then select the “free” filter under price, and the “casino” filter under the recreation.

Dinner Last Night:
Roasted Red Pepper, Broccoli & Walnut Buckwheat Salad. I subbed broccoli for cauliflower and added chickpeas. Good and easy!

2015 Cost of Camping:
57 night paid camping
77 nights free camping
134 days this year
Total spent: $771
Daily average cost: $5.75
