I’ve been so negligent with the blog lately, that I didn’t realize there were all sorts of wonderful and supportive comments on the most recent Curtis post. Thank you everyone – your words are so kind and we really appreciate them.
I don’t know what’s going on with me and the blog. I’ve been overwhelmed with work and socializing, there doesn’t seem to be much personal time these days. I’m also just a habitual person. If I post every day, then that’s what I’m doing – if I don’t…well then, no posts for days. I’d like to get back in the habit.
How about this idyllic photo of the Airstream?
Here’s a more accurate picture. There are a few other rigs here at Amacher Park in Winchester,OR (a mile and a half from Umpqua Community College).
The campground is right off the freeway, and some of the sites sit right under the overpass. If you’re worried it might be too quiet here, fear not, there are train tracks right behind the bushes in the above photo.
We are farthest from the freeway and the train tracks in site #4, but that doesn’t mean it’s quiet. It just means that we’re under the brightest light in the campground.
Dinner Last Night:
We’ve had a few tasty dinners this week. We really liked this Mexican Quinoa Salad and Chickpea Sweet Potato Bowl.

I love this truth-in-photo series! Sound is such an important factor in camp site satisfaction. (It is OK to miss a blog day now and again…give yourself a little break!)
