Yesterday we drove about 3 hours north and west to Moab, Utah. North might seem surprising, but it’s actually warmer than the southern route that we were considering. We’re looking at a high today of 70 and a low tonight of 36.
When we arrived, we checked out a couple other campgrounds in the Moab area and ended up at Ken’s Lake (thanks to Ingrid from Live Laugh RV).
All the BLM land around here has a fee, so we’re paying $15/night for the week.
Dinner Last Night:
Vegan Richa has done it again. This summer I decided I wanted to find the best vegan mac and cheese recipe out there, and it looks like I may have found the winner. I used half the red pepper flakes and half the cayenne and it was still really spicy. To me, it tasted like a spicy alfredo sauce. It took a lot of willpower to not have seconds and save the left-overs for lunch.
2013 Cost of Camping:
117 nights paid camping (through Saturday 10/26)
182 nights free camping
299 days this year
Total spent on camping this year: $3,201.29
Daily average cost of camping: $10.71
