Douglas WY

Yesterday after work we drove 3 1/2 hours south to Douglas Wyoming where we found some free camping at Riverside City Park. There were a few other RV’s here when we arrived.

The park is on a river and is really clean and pretty. The only drawback is a bit of noise from traffic. We’ll be working from here today and then after work we’ll head south to a boondocking spot outside of Cheyenne.

Dinner Last Night:
I knew we’d be arriving late last night, so we had a light dinner. I made Kale Salad with Pomegranate and Maple Pecans without the cheese. The maple pecans were awesome, and we both agreed this would be a great holiday salad.

2013 Cost of Camping:
96 nights paid camping
172 nights free camping
268 days this year
Total spent on camping this year: $2,659.12
Daily average cost of camping: $9.92

We stayed there for one night last year. It was a good free spot, but the locals kept coming by and dumping their trash in the already overflowing dumpster near us. It was hot and the trash was sooo stinky.

We thought so too since the rest of the park was very clean and nice.
