Desert Dessert

I love it when I find a good looking recipe and I already have all of the ingredients, or good enough substitutions.

On Thursday, I ran across Magic One-Ingredient Ice Cream 5 Ways. I had supplies to do 2 of the options so I let Brian decide, and he chose chocolate. A man after my own heart.

I doubled the amount of bananas, but not the cocoa powder and used fat free milk instead of cream.

Banana Chocolate “Ice Cream”

3 peeled medium bananas, sliced and frozen until solid
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
4 tablespoons fat free milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Blend and enjoy or freeze for later. (4 servings)

When you freeze it again after blending the consistency is better for scooping, but it also gets a little icy. We actually preferred it before freezing (pictured above). So my recommendation is to eat what you want immediately and then freeze the rest for later and see what you prefer. Either way it’s a fun guilt-free desert dessert.

    You are killing me here with this recipe! I checked all of the different flavor combos…yummy! I actually have three bananas that I need to do something with soon. I see some ice cream tonight!! Love the low cal, too!
