Grimaldi’s Pizza

We’ve given up dairy at home, but one place where we couldn’t possibly give up cheese is at Grimaldi’s Pizza. Their red sauce is amazing and the fresh mozzarella is irresistible. Lucky for us there are Grimaldi’s popping up everywhere.

Help us plan our route! Where is your all-time favorite pizzeria?

If you are still at Lake Mead, we really liked the pizza at Sammy’s Woodfired Grill in Vegas. Guess our favorite would be Mellow Mushroom, probably the best pizza without cheese we’ve had anywhere. They are popping up all over, too. A few in the Phoenix area but mostly back east.

If you are crazy enough to go to Indiana, a must is Jockamo’s Pizza. One in in a historical suburb of Indianapolis called Irvington and the other is just south of Indy in Old Town Greenwood. This pizza is the best we have had in ALL of our travels.

Wow that’s a great endorsement. You never know, we’ve been in Indianapolis before, we may find ourselves there again!

If it is an overnight or two night stay, you could use Camping World’s lot. They have electricity only, but hey…it’s free. 4g and all bars!

Grimaldi’s is good, but if you really crave that Brooklyn/NYC style thin crust pizza then Secret Pizza in Las Vegas has the edge.

Oooh I’ve never heard of Secret Pizza! Thanks for the tip! Because we’re back at Lake Mead – we were just talking about you guys, hope you’re well!
