Vegan Restaurants in New York

I wanted to see what New York had to offer in terms of vegan dining, so I picked two restaurants off of yelp and then found a hotel nearby.

For dinner on Sunday we went to Blossom on 9th Avenue. Everything on the menu is vegan so nothing was off limits.

We started with the Black Eyed Pea Cake and a Caesar salad. For our second course we had the Porcini Cigars (hand-rolled phyllo stuffed with porcini mushrooms, ground tempeh, almond-cashew pesto) and Seitan Scallopini with truffle-dill mashed potatoes and sauteed kale.

This meal was awesome. The Black Eyed Pea Cakes and Seitan Scallopini were our favorites.

Monday we went to Beyond Sushi in Chelsea Market. The Nutty Buddy, pictured above was super delicious.

We also had the Spicy Mango roll and the Mighty Mushroom roll. Both were really tasty. If I worked in the neighborhood, I would eat there every day.
