I’m taking Fridays off from my day job this month, so this past Friday, Brian and I scouted Bellows Field Beach Park before doing some touristy things. Bellows is only open for camping three days a week and according to Brian is one of the nicer beaches with campgrounds on Oahu. You can drive right up to the sand (but not on it) so in addition to tents, vans and vehicles with tents would also be able to camp here.
On a quest to find a Hawaiian shirt for Brian and a dress for me, we stopped at Bailey’s Antiques and Aloha Shirts which was a little overwhelming due to the vast assortment.
We had an early dinner at Helena’s Hawaiian Food which won a James Beard award in 2000 for Best Regional Food. I’ve never had Hawaiian style pork before, but it was my favorite out of everything we tried.
